Total e-commerce sales for 2002 were
estimated at $45.6 billion, an increase of 26.9 percent from 2001. (US
Gov) This figure does not include sales that have
been captured by customers visiting a web site then later calling
or visiting the proprietors place of business as may do.
Lets look at a car manufacturers web site. You cannot buy a car
directly from the factory but you can read and view all of the details,
options and find a local dealer where you can purchase your car.
Cars sold in this manner are not added to e-commerce sales figures.
GM reported $1,483,000,000 (yes billion) dollars in the 1st quarter
of this year.
Can you afford to turn your back on
an advertising avenue that:
- Reaches your customers 24 hours a day,
365 day a year.
- Can be updated as soon as your business needs require.
- Reaches customers that are already looking for your product or
service.
- Can be a , brochure, catalog, interactive presentation tool or
all of these.
- Costs less to run than print, radio or television and
has the potential to reach the same number of people.
- Can be focused to a local client or/and up scaled to international
coverage.
Briefly, a web site is the least expensive way for your
business to advertise to either a local or international demographic. Unlike
other advertising a web site can be updated on an on-demand basis.
A web site never closes, your customers can learn about you and conduct
business anytime and anywhere.
